§ 4-302. Maryland membership.
 

(a)  Commissioners of the State.- Pursuant to Article III of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Compact, 3 commissioners of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission shall be from the State. One commissioner shall be the Secretary whose term of office shall be concurrent with his tenure as Secretary. One commissioner shall be a legislator who is chosen jointly by the President and Speaker. The third commissioner shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The third commissioner shall be a resident of the State having knowledge of and interest in marine fisheries problems. His tenure shall be three years or until a successor is appointed and qualified. 

(b)  Secretary may delegate to subordinate power to be present and participate.- The Secretary may delegate to any subordinate in his Department the power to be present and participate, including voting as his representative at any meeting of the Commission. 

(c)  Removal of commissioners.- Upon charges, the Governor may remove from office any commissioner, after the commissioner is afforded a hearing.
