§ 2-401. Applicability of State Personnel and Pensions Article.
 

(a)  In general.- If there are inconsistencies between this article and the State Personnel and Pensions Article, this article controls as to any matter that relates to the Department. 

(b)  Police employees.- Except as expressly provided in this article, the State Personnel and Pensions Article does not apply to or affect the compensation, rank, grade, or status of police employees. 

(c)  Civilian employees.- Except as expressly provided in this article, the compensation, civilian classification, and status of civilian employees shall be determined in accordance with the State Personnel and Pensions Article.
