WEIGHTS AND MEASURES ACT (EXCERPT)
Act 283 of 1964

290.615 State director of weights and measures; enforcement, seizure without formal warrant.

Sec. 15.

The director is vested with special powers with respect to the enforcement of this act and any other acts dealing with weights and measures that he is or may be empowered to enforce. He may seize for use as evidence without formal warrant incorrect or unsealed weights and measures or amounts or packages of commodities found to be used, retained, offered or exposed for sale, or sold in violation of law. In the performance of his official duties, he may enter and go into or upon without formal warrant any structure or premises.
