§ 27-35-125. Failure of clerk to make copies; other person appointed.
 

If the clerk fail to make out, certify, and transmit the copies of the assessment rolls as required, he shall forfeit the sum of five hundred dollars, to be recovered by action or motion against him and the sureties on his official bond, to be prosecuted by the state; and the board of supervisors shall appoint some other person to make and certify the copies, who shall receive the compensation provided for the clerk. The auditor and president of the board of supervisors shall certify the failure to the district attorney.
