May divide lands into lots, when.

528.270. Whenever in the opinion of the commissioners, inany case of partition or order of sale, it will be to theinterest of the parties to divide the lands into lots, and layout streets, avenues, lanes and alleys, they may cause the sameto be done, and in that case shall return with their report aplat of the land so laid out, which report shall be subject tothe rejection or confirmation of the court, as in other cases.
