Power to issue subpoenas and compel attendance of witnesses.

534.110. The judge shall have power to issue subpoenas forwitnesses on the application of either party, and if thewitnesses summoned do not attend, may issue an attachment tocompel their attendance, and may continue the cause at hisdiscretion, not exceeding ten days.
