Jurisdiction of circuit courts.

541.020. Except as otherwise provided by law, the circuitcourts shall have exclusive original jurisdiction in all cases offelony, misdemeanor and infractions. Except as otherwiseprovided by law, circuit judges may hear and determine originallyall cases of felony, misdemeanor and infractions and may hear anddetermine upon a trial de novo cases of misdemeanor andinfractions.
