542.130. If the judgment of the associate circuit judgeshall be affirmed, or if, upon a trial in the court to which theappeal is taken, the defendant shall be convicted, the courtshall require a new recognizance in a sum not exceeding onethousand dollars, for such time as shall appear necessary, notexceeding one year, and render judgment against the defendant forall costs in the case.
