545.360. The provisions of law in civil cases, relative tocompelling the attendance and testimony of witnesses, theirexamination, the administration of oaths and affirmations andproceedings as for contempt, to enforce the remedies and protectthe rights of parties, shall extend to criminal cases so far asthey are in their nature applicable thereto, subject to theprovisions contained in any statute.
