Duty of sheriff.

545.560. The sheriff shall obey such order withoutunnecessary delay, and shall endorse on the commitment or processby virtue of which the prisoner was in his custody, the reason ofthe change of custody, and shall deliver such warrant, with theprisoner, to the keeper of the jail of the proper county, whoshall give such sheriff a receipt therefor and take charge of andkeep the prisoner in the same manner as if he had been originallycommitted to such jail.
