Effect of affirmance or reversal.

547.300. Where the appeal has been taken or writ of errorsued out by the state, if the judgment of the court be affirmed,the party shall be discharged; if reversed, the supreme courtshall direct the court below to enter up judgment upon theverdict rendered, or, where no verdict has been rendered, toproceed to trial on the indictment or information.
