Sentences, proceedings, findings are final, exception--appeal onquestions of law to state and federal courts.

40.230. The proceedings, findings and sentences ofcourt-martial as reviewed and approved, as required by sections40.005 to 40.490, and all dismissals and discharges carried intoexecution under sentences by courts-martial following review andapproval, as required by sections 40.005 to 40.490, are final andconclusive. Orders publishing the proceedings of courts-martialand all action taken pursuant to those proceedings are bindingupon all departments, courts, agencies, and officers of the statesubject only to action upon a petition for a new trial or actionby the governor as provided in sections 40.220 and 40.225;provided, however, that nothing in sections 40.005 to 40.490shall be construed to prevent petition to appropriate state orfederal courts for relief on questions of law.
