Board of police--secretary, appointment, salary.

84.060. 1. The board shall appoint a secretary to act assuch for the board of police commissioners, to be appointed inthe same manner as other officers, and such appointment shall beadditional to the number of appointments herein provided. Thesecretary shall serve at the pleasure of the board.

2. The salary of the secretary of the board shall bedetermined and fixed by the board of police commissioners, and noother provisions of this chapter shall apply in the determinationof the amount of the salary of the secretary.

3. Every person appointed to serve as secretary shall be aresident of the city.
