Correction of errors in benefits, adjustments.

86.193. Should any change or error in records result in anymember or beneficiary receiving from the retirement system moreor less than he would have been entitled to receive had therecords been correct, the board of trustees shall correct sucherror and, as far as practicable, shall adjust the payments insuch a manner that the actuarial equivalent of the benefit towhich such member or beneficiary was correctly entitled shall bepaid.
