County treasurer exempt from liability, when.

110.260. The county treasurer shall not be responsible forany loss of the county funds through the negligence or failure ofany depositary, but nothing in sections 110.130 to 110.260 shallrelease said treasurer from any loss resulting from any officialmisconduct on his part, or from responsibility for the funds ofthe county, until a depositary shall be selected and the fundsdeposited therein, or for any misappropriation of such funds inany manner by him.
