§122C‑253.  Fees under commitment order.

Nothing contained in Parts 6,7, or 8 of this Article requires a private physician, private psychologist, orprivate facility to accept a respondent as a client either before or aftercommitment. Treatment at a private facility or by a private physician orprivate psychologist is at the expense of the respondent to the extent that thecharges are not disposed of by contract between the area authority and theprivate facility. An area authority and its contract agencies shall set andrecover fees for inpatient or outpatient treatment services provided under acommitment order in accordance with G.S. 122C‑146.
