§122C‑348.  Residency not affected.

(a)        A nonresident ofthis State who is under care in a 24‑hour facility in this State is notconsidered a resident. No length of time spent in this State while a client ina 24‑hour facility is sufficient to make a nonresident a resident orentitled to care or treatment.

(b)        A North Carolinaresident who is under care and treatment in a  24‑hour facility inanother state shall retain his residency in North Carolina.
