Part 10.  North Carolina Council for Women.

§ 143B‑393.  North Carolina Council for Women –creation; powers and duties.

There is hereby created the North Carolina Council for Women of theDepartment of Administration.  The North Carolina Council for Women shall havethe following functions and duties:

(1)        To advise the Governor, the principal State departments, andthe State legislature concerning the education and employment of women in theState of North Carolina; and

(2)        To advise the Secretary of Administration upon any matterthe Secretary may refer to it; and

(3)        To establish programs for the assistance of displacedhomemakers as set forth in Part 10B of this Article. (1975, c. 879, s. 37; 1979, c. 1016, s. 1; 1991, c.134, s. 4.)
