§ 143B‑411.  NorthCarolina State Commission of Indian Affairs – executive director; employees.

The Commission may, subject to legislative or other funds that wouldaccrue to the Commission, employ an executive director to carry out the day‑to‑dayresponsibilities and business of the Commission.  The executive director shallserve at the pleasure of the Commission.  The executive director, also subjectto legislative or other funds that would accrue to the Commission, may hireadditional staff and consultants to assist in the discharge of hisresponsibilities, as determined by the Commission.  The executive directorshall not be a member of the Commission, and shall be of Indian descent.
