§147‑33.96.  Restriction on State agency contractual authority with regardto information technology; local governments.

(a)        All State agenciescovered by this Part shall use contracts for information technology acquired bythe Office for any information technology required by the State agency that isprovided by these contracts. Notwithstanding any other statute, the authorityof State agencies to procure or obtain information technology shall be subjectto compliance with the provisions of this Part. The Office shall have theauthority to exercise the authority of State agencies to procure or obtaininformation technology as otherwise provided by statute.

(b)        Local governmentalentities are not required to comply with otherwise applicable competitive biddingrequirements when using contracts offered by the Office. (1999‑434,s. 10; 2000‑174, s. 210‑241.)
