437.010Reporting known cases; records maintained. Any representative of areligious denomination, householder, nurse, parent, guardian or other personattending to, or in any way having knowledge of the existence of a case ofpulmonary tuberculosis, including the affected person, must immediately reportthe fact to the Oregon Health Authority. The names and addresses of all personsreported as having pulmonary tuberculosis shall be recorded with the authority.[Amended by 1989 c.224 §90; 2009 c.595 §696]

437.030Investigation and control of reported cases; rules. The OregonHealth Authority shall, upon receiving a report that any person has tuberculosis,make such investigation of the case as is necessary to determine whether or notthe person reported has communicable tuberculosis. Upon finding that any personhas communicable tuberculosis, the authority shall exercise such control overthe affected person and contacts with other persons as may be necessary for theprotection of the public health, pursuant to its rules and regulations. Inexercising such control over any person who has communicable tuberculosis theauthority may make such rules or orders governing such person’s conduct as arenecessary to prevent the spread of the disease.
