GENERALPROVISIONS

261.005Short title.This chapter shall be known as the People’s Utility District Law.

261.007Policy.The purpose of this chapter is to implement the intent and purpose of section12, Article XI, of the Oregon Constitution including authorization for theestablishment of people’s utility districts to develop the water and energyresources of this state for the benefit of the people of this state and tosupply public utility service, including water, water power and electric energyfor all uses and users. [1979 c.588 §2]
