Section 16-24-22

Applicability to cases prior to July 1, 2004; appropriations.

(a) In those cases where the board of education has voted to propose the cancellation of the contract of a tenured teacher, transfer of a tenured teacher, suspension of a tenured teacher, or the non-renewal of the contract of a non-tenured teacher, prior to July 1, 2004, the process under which those cases will be heard shall be that process in place prior to July 1, 2004.

(b) The Legislature shall annually appropriate funds to carry out all components of this article assigned to the State Department of Education.
