SECTION 27621
27621. Any person, forwarding company, or common carrier may decline to ship or transport any eggs if it is notified by an enforcement officer that the eggs are found to be not in conformity with any provision of this chapter or regulation adopted pursuant to this chapter. Any person, forwarding company, or common carrier may reserve the right, in any receipt, bill of lading, or other writing given to the shipper of any eggs, to reject for shipment and to return to, or hold at the expense and risk of, such shipper, all eggs which, upon inspection, are found to be not in conformity with any provision of this chapter or regulation adopted pursuant to this chapter. A person, forwarding company, or common carrier that transports any eggs at the request of the shipper or owner of the eggs does not violate any provisions of this chapter or regulation, unless such person, forwarding company, or common carrier willfully fails or refuses to stop the transportation of the eggs with reasonable dispatch after being notified in writing by an enforcing officer of this chapter or regulation adopted pursuant to this chapter that such eggs are found to be delivered for shipment in violation of this chapter or regulation adopted pursuant to this chapter.
