SECTION 34110-34112
34110. There is hereby created and established in each community a public body, corporate and politic, known as the community development commission. 34111. There is also in each community a public body, corporate and politic, known as the redevelopment agency of the community. There is also in each community a public body, corporate and politic, known as the housing authority of the community. Nothing in this part changes the existence of such entities as separate public bodies, corporate and politic. 34112. The commission is created and established in order that a community may have the option of operating and governing its redevelopment agency, or its redevelopment agency and its housing authority, under a single operating entity and board. The commission is also created and established for the purpose of exercising any other powers regarding community development which the legislative body of a community may desire to delegate to the commission subject to such conditions as may be imposed by the legislative body.
