INSURANCE CODE
SECTION 16000-16002



16000.  As used in this chapter, "state of emergency" means a state
of emergency or local emergency as defined in Section 8558 of the
Government Code.


16001.  This chapter shall apply to all insurers insuring real or
personal property in the state, and any other classes of insurers
that the commissioner determines should participate in emergency
disaster preparation and assistance under this chapter.




16002.  The purpose and function of the disaster assessment teams is
solely to determine the staffing and support needs of insurers in
handling anticipated claims.
