SECTION 120540-120550



120540.  It shall be a condition of the operation of any transit
facility owned or controlled by the board that Section 5333 of Title
49 of the United States Code shall be given effect to the extent
required by law.


120550.  The board may establish and maintain a police force. Those
employees of the board appointed by the general manager or chief
executive officer to the police force and who are duly sworn are
peace officers and are subject to the powers set forth in Section
830.33 of the Penal Code. The board shall adhere to the standards for
recruitment and training of peace officers established by the
Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training pursuant to Title
4 (commencing with Section 13500) of Part 4 of the Penal Code.
