      Sec. 10a-170b. Eligibility requirements for high technology graduate assistantships. High technology graduate assistantships shall be awarded only to students at institutions in Connecticut enrolled in graduate programs approved by the Board of Governors of Higher Education and designated by the Board of Governors of Higher Education, in consultation with the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, as programs in high technology fields which meet state-wide economic needs.

      History: P.A. 84-241 added "of higher education" to board of governors' title; P.A. 93-201 deleted Subsec. (a) concerning requirements on residency and teaching assignments, changed the description of the program from "scholarship" to "assistantship" and required board of governors to consult with the commissioner of economic development, effective July 1, 1993; P.A. 95-250 and P.A. 96-211 replaced Commissioner and Department of Economic Development with Commissioner and Department of Economic and Community Development.
