      Sec. 17a-278. (Formerly Sec. 19a-452). Recall for examination. Any resident placed in a private boarding home who is recalled for the purpose of a physical and mental examination shall be exempt from any payment required by section 17b-223 during such recall period, provided it shall not exceed ten days. Current or accumulated earnings of any resident so placed, accruing by reason of personal services rendered by him, shall not be applied to the payment of his maintenance charges unpaid by other sources while he was in residence at the institution.
