      Sec. 19a-45b. Medical home pilot program. On or after January 1, 2007, and within any available federal or private funds, the Commissioner of Public Health, in consultation with the Medicaid managed care organizations administering the HUSKY Plan, Part A, as defined in section 17b-290, may establish a medical home pilot program in one region of the state to be determined by said commissioner in order to enhance health outcomes for children, including children with special health care needs, by ensuring that each child has a primary care physician who will provide continuous comprehensive health care for such child. Said commissioner may solicit and accept private funds to implement such pilot program.
