      Sec. 22a-246. *(See end of section for amended version and effective date.) Penalties. Any person who violates any provision of section 22a-244 or 22a-245 shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, and for a second offense shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars nor more than two hundred dollars and for a third offense shall be fined not less than two hundred fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.

      *Note: On and after February 1, 2009, this section, as amended by section 13 of public act 08-1 of the November 24 special session, is to read as follows:

      "Sec. 22a-246. Penalties. Any person who violates any provision of section 22a-244, 22a-245 or 22a-245a shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, and for a second offense shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars nor more than two hundred dollars and for a third or subsequent offense shall be fined not less than two hundred fifty dollars or more than five hundred dollars."

      History: Nov. 24 Sp. Sess. P.A. 08-1 applied penalties to violation of Sec. 22a-245a, inserted "or subsequent" and made a technical change, effective February 1, 2009.
