      Sec. 29-161y. (Formerly Sec. 29-161a). Registration of security officers or security personnel carrying firearms. Penalty. (a) Any person, firm or corporation may employ as many security officers or security personnel carrying firearms as it deems necessary for the conduct of its business, provided such employees shall be of good moral character and at least twenty-one years of age. Each person, firm or corporation shall make application to register such personnel with the Commissioner of Public Safety immediately upon their hiring. Application for registration shall be made in the same manner as is provided in section 29-161q and applicants shall meet the requirements specified in said section.

      (b) Any person, firm or corporation that violates any provision of this section shall be fined seventy-five dollars for each offense. Each violation of this section shall be a separate and distinct offense, and, in the case of a continuing violation, each day's continuance thereof shall be deemed to be a separate and distinct offense.
