      Sec. 46b-212l. Credit for support payments. The Family Support Magistrate Division shall credit amounts collected for a particular period pursuant to any child support order against the amounts owed for the same period under any other child support order for support of the same child issued by a tribunal of this or another state.

      History: June 18 Sp. Sess. P.A. 97-1 effective January 1, 1998; P.A. 07-247 restructured existing provisions and required Family Support Magistrate Division to credit amounts collected against amounts owed for "support of the same child", effective January 1, 2008.
