      Sec. 51-1b. Chief Justice head of department. Appointment of Chief Court Administrator. (a) The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court shall be the head of the Judicial Department and shall be responsible for its administration.

      (b) The Chief Justice shall appoint a Chief Court Administrator who shall serve at the pleasure of the Chief Justice.
