§6E-15  Regulations, special conditions orrestrictions.  In addition to any power or authority of a politicalsubdivision to regulate by planning or zoning laws and regulations or by locallaws and regulations, the governing body of any political subdivision mayprovide by regulations, special conditions, or restrictions for the protection,enhancement, preservation, and use of historic properties or burial sites. These regulations, special conditions, and restrictions may include appropriateand reasonable control of the use or appearance of adjacent or associatedprivate property within the public view, or both, historic easements,preventing deterioration by wilful neglect, permitting the modification oflocal health and building code provisions, and transferring development rights.[L 1976, c 104, pt of §2; am L 1990, c 306, §11]
