ยง11-227ย Public notices.ย (a)ย
Forty-five days before each primary, special primary, special, or general
election, and at such other times as may be appropriate, the commission may
give public notices to communicate to the public the following:
(1)ย A candidate who has signed an affidavit pursuant
to section 11-208 to abide by the expenditure limits for the candidate's
respective office as imposed by this subpart;
(2)ย A candidate who has filed an affidavit to abide
by spending limits, but who has exceeded the expenditure limits pursuant to
section 11-209;
(3)ย A candidate who has failed to file a report
required under this subpart, or who has failed to correct a deficient report
after notice of the deficiency or failure to file has been mailed to the candidate
pursuant to section 11-193(a)(5); and
(4)ย Any flagrant violation of any other provision of
this subpart.
(b)ย In giving public notice under this
section, the commission shall endeavor to bring fair public light to the
