ยง26-41ย Temporary boards and commissions.ย The governor may establish such temporary boards and commissions as thegovernor may deem necessary to gather information or furnish advice for theexecutive branch.ย The governor may prescribe their organization, functions andauthority.ย A temporary board or commission shall not remain in existence for aterm extending beyond the last day of the second regular session of thelegislature after the date of its establishment or beyond the period requiredto receive federal grants-in-aid, whichever occurs later, unless extended byconcurrent resolution of the legislature.
All members of temporary boards and commissionsshall serve without pay, but shall be entitled to reimbursement for necessaryexpenses while attending meetings and while in the discharge of duties andresponsibilities.ย The reimbursement for expenses shall be made from thegovernor's contingent fund.
