§37-54  Deposit of state funds in treasury. (a)  All state funds shall be deposited in the state treasury except funds thatbelong to patients and wards to whom the State is responsible for the funds,funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture for the specialsupplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children, and asotherwise provided by law.

(b)  For purposes of this section, "statefunds" mean moneys that have come into the possession of a state officeror employee who has responsibility on behalf of the State for the initialcustody, accountability, and disposition of the moneys.
