§40-10  Destruction of vouchers, etc. At the end of each fiscal year, the comptroller, with the approval of thelieutenant governor and the attorney general of the State, may destroy allvouchers, documents, and other records or papers on file with the comptrolleror kept in the comptroller's department for a period of more than six years(exclusive of permanent records) which in the comptroller's opinion are nolonger of any use or value.
