§40-34  Accountants may deposit in bank,when.  Every public accountant other than the director of finance,receiving or disbursing money belonging to the State may deposit to the publicaccountant's official credit and keep all moneys received by the publicaccountant in such banks as may be designated therefor by the director with theapproval of the governor until the moneys are remitted to the director asrequired by law, and the public accountant shall not be responsible for themoneys while so deposited.
