[§445-95.5] Suits by the State. The
director of the department of human services, by and through the attorney
general, may bring an action on behalf of the State to enjoin any violation of
section 445-95.2, to enjoin any person, partnership, corporation or other
organization who has violated section 445-95.2 from continuing to engage in the
rooming house business, to collect the penalties provided by section 445-95.4,
or to recover any damages sustained by any person injured by a violation of
section 445-95.2. In any such action, the State shall also be entitled to
recover the costs of suit together with reasonable attorneys' fees. [L 1988, c
