§453-1.5  Pain management guidelines. The Hawaii medical board may establish guidelines for physicians or osteopathicphysicians with respect to patients' pain management.  The guidelines shallapply to all patients with severe acute pain or severe chronic pain, regardlessof the patient's prior or current chemical dependency or addiction, and mayinclude standards and procedures for chemically dependent individuals.
