[§454-4.5]  Additional sanctions for
violations committed against elders.  (a)  Any person who, in the course of
engaging in conduct that requires a license under this chapter, commits a
violation of this chapter or the rules adopted pursuant to this chapter, or
commits a violation of chapter 436B, and the violation includes conduct that is
directed towards, targets, or is committed against an elder, may be fined an amount not to exceed $10,000 for each violation
in addition to any other fine or penalty.



(b)  As used in this chapter, "elder"
means a consumer who is sixty-two years of age or older. [L 2007, c 50, §1]
