[§486-55] General duties and powers.
The board may:
(1) Enforce and administer this part by inspections,
analyses, and other appropriate actions;
(2) Have access during normal business hours to all
places where petroleum products are marketed or being held for the purpose of
examination, inspection, taking of samples, and investigation. If such access
is refused by the owner or agent or other persons leasing the same, the board
or its agent may obtain a search warrant from a court of competent jurisdiction;
(3) Collect, or cause to be collected, samples of
petroleum products marketed or being held in this State, and cause such samples
to be tested or analyzed for compliance with this part; and
(4) Issue a stop-sale order for any petroleum product
found not to be in compliance and remand said stop-sale order if the petroleum
product is brought into full compliance with this part. [L 1991, c 153, §4]
