§53-52  Urban renewal plan.  Any urbanrenewal project undertaken pursuant to section 53-51 shall be undertaken inaccordance with an urban renewal plan for the area of the project.  As used inthis chapter, an "urban renewal plan" means a plan, as it exists fromtime to time, for an urban renewal project, which plan (1) shall conform to themaster plan for the county as a whole; or if there is no master plan for thecounty as a whole, then to the master plan for the urban area as a whole ofwhich the urban renewal project area constitutes a part; and (2) shall besufficiently complete to indicate such land acquisition, demolition, andremoval of structures, redevelopment, improvements, and rehabilitation as maybe proposed to be carried out in the area of the urban renewal project, zoningand planning changes, if any, land uses, maximum densities, buildingrequirements, and the plan's relationship to definite local objectivesrespecting appropriate land uses; improved traffic, public transportation,public utilities, recreational and community facilities, and other publicimprovements.  An urban renewal plan shall be prepared and approved pursuant tothe same procedure as provided in this chapter with respect to a redevelopmentplan, except as specifically provided in this part.
