§54-64  Acquisition of lands.  The boardof water supply may, in the name of the county, subject to the approval of thecouncil of the county, acquire and take by purchase, lease, or otherwise, allproperty situated within the limits of the county that it may determinenecessary for the construction, maintenance, extension, or operation of any ofthe waterworks and water systems under its jurisdiction and control.
