§88-187  Payment, conditions.  The
pension system shall require as a prerequisite to the payment of a pension to
any person:



(1)  That the person has attained the age of sixty
years or, through accident sustained without the person's fault or negligence in
the performance of duty in the person's service for the county, or illness, has
become incapable of sustained remunerative work;



(2)  That the person, except in case of accident and
disability has been in the service and employment of the county for a total
period of not less than ten years.



Any employee who had the option to but did not
elect to become a member of any retirement system now in effect shall be
eligible to receive only fifty per cent of the pension amount otherwise
