§88‑31  Medical board.  The boardshall designate a medical board to be composed of three physicians not eligibleto participate in the system.  If required, other physicians may be employed toreport on special cases.  The medical board shall arrange for and pass upon allmedical examinations required under this part and parts VII and VIII of thischapter, shall investigate all essential statements and certificates by or onbehalf of a member in connection with application for disability retirement,and shall report in writing to the board its conclusions and recommendationsupon all the matters referred to it. Attorney General Opinions

 

  Board of trustees, after hearing on appeal from medicalboard's decision, may overrule any decision or recommendation which the medicalboard is authorized to make.  Att. Gen. Op. 81-8.
