§88-50.5 - Credit for mandatory maternity leave.
§88-50.5 Credit for mandatory maternityleave. Any member of the system who was required to take mandatorymaternity leave prior to July 1, 1973, may be credited up to four years ofmembership service credit for mandatory maternity leave; provided that themaximum credit for each pregnancy shall be limited to twelve months.
A member's maternity leave shall be consideredservice in the member's occupation at the time the leave was taken and may becredited in accordance with sections 88-59, 88-272, and 88-324.
Any retirant, who returns to employment and isreenrolled as a member of the system and who has at least three years ofcredited service in the system during the period of reemployment, may becredited with membership service credit for maternity leave as provided in thissection.
