[§89C-1.5]  Definitions.  As used inthis chapter:

"Adjustment" means a change in wages,hours, benefits, or other term and condition of employment.

"Appropriate authority" means thegovernor, the respective mayors, the chief justice of the supreme court, theboard of education, the board of regents, the Hawaii health [systems]corporation board, the auditor, the ombudsman, and the director of thelegislative reference bureau.  These individuals or boards may make adjustmentsfor their respective excluded employees.

"Excluded employee" or"employee" means any individual who is employed by an appropriateauthority and is not included in an appropriate bargaining unit under section89-6 and, therefore, is not entitled to collective bargaining coverage underchapter 89. [L 2000, c 253, §105]
